April Bishop

April Bishop is a Food Safety Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the food industry. She has served as a VP of Food Safety & Quality for the Liquid Products North America Division at Golden State Foods leading a team of food safety and quality professionals to support 3 plants that produce food safe and high quality products that we see and eat every day.

April is a 15-year member of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), founding the Nebraska chapter with several co-workers in 2009.  April is an active member of 6 IAFP Professional Development Groups, serving as Chair on the Beverages, Acid and Acidified Foods PDG. April is on the Advisory Board for the Food Safety Tech, a member of the Food Defence Consortium, a winner of the 2023 Women in Supply Chain award, and led her prior employer to win the 2017 Food Quality & Safety Magazine Award.

April is a mother of 2 children, 2 cats, and 2 Saint Bernard’s and resides in Plainfield, IL..
