AI & Automation Portal
How will Artificial Intelligence affect your work, your business, and you?
In short, the answer is A LOT!
By integrating advanced digital tools, we are committed to developing innovative technologies that address real-world challenges in sanitation and food production.
Acknowledging that some technologies may come with elevated levels of risk we work to better understand these risks. Specifically due to the global nature of the food supply, the global nature of supply chains, and disparities occurring - in internet availability, telecommunications, energy, and the diversity of languages that come into contact with this highly networker food system - the risks associated with certain aspects of using AI in food businesses can have profound impacts on business, communities, and the safety of our food supply.
To address and account for these considerations we will commit to:
· Leading in the industry by evaluating, validating, and demonstrating ethical, equitable, and unbiased products and approaches.
· Providing leadership to decision makers in the use of AI for critical decision making with respect to investment priorities always ensuring human first priorities are considered.
· Work to bridge the gaps that could potentially impose limitations on food manufacturers, suppliers, and all who work in the food system.

Meet Food Safety Educator!
It is a BLUE circle with the Alliance logo on the right, bottom of your page view.
Support for this and other tools is made possible by members of the Alliance and donors.
Food Safety Educator uses the power of numerous data sets enabled by a backbone of the Large Language Models we have developed to assistant in answering most of the potential questions a consumer may have pertaining to food safety. This is designed and intended to be a source of scientifically valid information to guide consumers in making safe food choices. It is also meant to include perspectives for a global audience although there may be some bias to North America particularly in the area of measurements like temperature or length. Note, this tool is NOT intended to respond to questions outside of this scope.
This project is currently in BETA testing, and we invite all to try it to out and to tell us how it handled your questions. We want to know about the types of questions it should answer and if you received a satisfactory response. We will continue to work on it and request that users provide us with feedback. Note that we are not able to track each and every question and answer and we ask that you copy and paste the question(s) and response(s) in the feedback form below.
